Das Forschungsinteresse am Public Leadership korrespondiert mit einem länderübergreifend zu beobachtenden Mediatisierungstrend. Festzustellen ist aber auch eine schwache theoretische Durchdringung des Gegenstands. Der vorliegende Beitrag bestimmt und verortet den Begriff daher zunächst in der Leadership-Forschung. Anhand einer systematisierenden, interdisziplinären Bestandsaufnahme vorliegender Ansätze und Befunde werden analytische Zugänge zur Erforschung des Public Leadership aufgezeigt. Am Fallbeispiel Deutschlands wird exemplarisch untersucht, inwiefern der Bundeskanzler über mediale Führungsressourcen verfügen kann. Es soll so ein Beitrag zur Konzeptkritik geleistet werden, um weiterführende Forschungsperspektiven aufzuzeigen.Downloads
